Will Carlson began his career working for small businesses, including streamlining their financial systems to increase efficiency and reduce expenses. He founded Carlson Consulting, LLC in 2016 as a way to continue cultivating his approach to bookkeeping and serving the unique needs of each client. As a certified ProAdvisor, Will's favorite part of his career is having the opportunity to interact with the various industries and personalities of business owners across Vermont. It makes every day a fresh and exciting challenge for him.
Outside of supporting his clients, Will enjoys playing soccer, paddleboarding, hiking, baking, and playing in an alternative rock band. He also loves spending time with his lovely wife Quinby, parents and siblings, and close friends from both his hometown and college. One of his biggest bucket list goals is to hike the Long Trail someday! |
Amanda Owens, Vice President

Amanda Owens joined Carlson Consulting in March 2021, and has been an incredible Account Manager for her clients so far. A relatively new "Vermonter" after moving up from South Carolina in 2021, she brings over 25 years of bookkeeping experience to our team. Her favorite parts of her role include working with E-commerce, aiding in account clean-up, and developing more efficient ways to help clients simplify their accounting procedures.
When she's not busy supporting clients, Amanda can be found cooking, jamming out to music, or traveling with her two children, Skylar and Hudson. She's excited to be a new resident of the Green Mountain State! |
Cayenne MacHarg, Director of Accounting |
Cayenne MacHarg joined Carlson Consulting in October 2020. She started bookkeeping while helping with her family's two small businesses in 2013, and decided to pursue accounting as her career! She is a self proclaimed "small business enthusiast" and loves making her clients' books shine. She has experience working with small and mid sized businesses in Vermont and all over the United States. Her favorite part of her job is delivering reliable financial data to clients in a format they can utilize to better operate their business and make decisions. When she's not busy in QuickBooks, you can find Cayenne and her husband on the side of a soccer field, baseball diamond, or hockey rink cheering on their three boys. |
Julie Daigle became the team's first totally remote bookkeeper back in July 2021! Hailing from Stratham, NH, she has over 10 years of bookkeeping experience within a variety of industries including non-profits, sporting goods retail, and construction/landscaping trades. Her favorite part of her role at Carlson Consulting is the opportunity to get to know her clients and assist them with whatever they may need.
When she isn't supporting the team's client base, Julie keeps busy staying active with her husband Brian and two boys, Colin and Declan. Although she enjoys skiing with family and friends in the winter, her favorite season is summer, so she much prefers to be at the beach or by the lake! |
Cynthia Poulios, Lead Accountant

Cynthia Poulios joined Carlson Consulting in May 2022 as a remote accountant based in Stamford, Connecticut. She has over 6 years of bookkeeping experience and an associate's degree in accounting. Her favorite part of her role at Carlson Consulting is working with a great team, helping out with account clean-ups, and simplifying her clients' finances by assisting them with their needs. When she's not busy supporting clients, Cynthia is either traveling with her husband, crafting, or busy in the kitchen baking and cooking away. |
Casey Ryan, Bookkeeper

Casey Ryan is another one of our full-time remote bookkeepers who joined us in October of 2021. He has a year of bookkeeping experience, and he comes to us after a 15-year career as a chef! He has also worked in construction and IT. His knowledge of and passion for the local Vermont food & beverage industry are a huge asset to our team, and his favorite aspect of his role at Carlson Consulting is working with restaurants and breweries.
Casey has an Associate of Science degree in Audio Engineering, and thus is very musical! He plays the bass in local band Tiger Strike. In his spare time, in addition to making music, he enjoys smoking food, open fire cooking, playing Magic the Gathering, and galivanting around Vermont with family and friends. |
Carri Miani, Bookkeeper

Carri Miani joined Carlson Consulting in August 2021. She is another one of our remote team members, working from her home in Massachusetts. She has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience that spans across many industries. She enjoys working alongside her clients and developing an understanding of what their financial needs are and where their challenges lay. Her favorite parts of her role are account clean up, profit and loss analysis, and working with a variety of clients who keep her days exciting.
When she's not busy supporting clients, Carri can be found at home with her family, traveling to California to see her daughter, cooking while listening to music with her husband, and hitting the beach whenever she gets the chance! |
Brooke Wilcox, Bookkeeper

Brook Wilcox joined Carlson Consulting in November 2022. Brooke worked in the film industry for several years before moving to Vermont in 2015. She then worked in the farm and food industry, working on her family goat farm making fresh cheese and yogurt. It is there that she began keeping the farm's books and decided to pursue a career in bookkeeping in 2020. Brooke has a deep appreciation for small Vermont Businesses with a particular affection for farms and food production. Brooke has a penchant for spreadsheets and enjoys the puzzle like problem solving bookkeeping can present. She strives to provide her clients with accurate up-to-date data for critical business decisions.
When Brooke is not neck deep in Excel or Quickbooks she is in the woods with her pup Ansel and Goats Jack and Pocket or Gardening with Ruby, her feline companion. |
